Welcome to Bryson Farms!
Our farm is comprised of about 150 tillable acres and about 300 acres of bush tucked away in the heart of the Pontiac region of Quebec.
We have two farms about a kilometer apart. Our home farm is where the lettuce and greenhouse operation is located. The second farm is rich in sandy/loam soil where are field crops are grown.

In the summer, our one of our greenhouses is filled with spicy lettuces like arugula, mustard, and oriental greens. Our larger greenhouse is planted (in the soil, not hydroponic) with heirloom tomatoes which grow up to 20 feet tall.
Our outdoor summer lettuce is sight to behold with all the differing types of colourful lettuces.

Our lettuces are picked by hand, leaf-by-leaf, by a very patient and dedicated crew.

In 2007, Bryson Farms employed more than 40 full-time workers many of whom are proudly pictured on this site.

In our smaller greenhouse, we process the cut lettuce leaves by washing the lettuce, drying it in electric spinners, and then bagging it for delivery.
All lettuce is harvested the day before delivery ensure absolute freshness.
Our lettuce stands (inside the greenhouse in the winter) are constantly being planted and re-planted. Once a stand becomes bitter or starts to go to seed, it is dug up and re-planted so that we have a continuous source of fresh, baby-leaf lettuce.
Our crew tastes each stand of lettuce every harvest day to ensure that the lettuce is top quality. If there is a question as to bitterness or toughness, several testers sample the lettuce to decide if it is good enough to go into the Bryson Farms mix.

Lettuce everywhere! |
We do not use commercial harvesting machines as they tear, shred, and bruise lettuce leaves and do not provide the beautiful mix which our customers have come to know and love.
