Amélie’s Kitchen
Brussels sprouts are the culinary cool kids, and they deserve to be.

They look so pretty and taste so sweet when you finish cooking them in a hot oven or on the barbecue.

Ingredients:
Brussels sprouts
Olive oil
Sea salt
Lemon zest

Guidelines
Rinse the Brussels sprouts and trim the stems. Leave them whole.

Precook them either by steaming them or microwaving them. Cook until there is only a bit of resistance when poked with a fork (3-5 minutes).

In a bowl, slather them with olive oil and sea salt. Add some lemon zest. Mix well.

Roast in a preheated oven on a baking pan on parchment paper for 10-15 minutes at 450f. Or, if you are barbecuing, put them directly on the grill. You might lose a few through the grill.

When the outer leaves are a crispy golden colour you are good to go.

Taste and season with more salt, if required, and a few turns of the pepper mill.
